First Reconciliation & First Eucharist
Preparation for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist
At Our Lady of Grace, students in grade 2 and higher may prepare for the sacraments of First Reconciliation (confession) and First Eucharist (communion). To receive these sacraments at Our Lady of Grace, students in public school and home school must 1) attend Faith Formation classes and 2) participate in the extra retreats, homework, etc., that are a part of preparation for these two sacraments. Bishop Ryan Catholic School students do not need to attend Faith Formation classes; however, they must participate in the extra retreats, homework, etc., that are a part of preparation for these two sacraments.
The preparation programs begin with orientation meetings for students and parents. The First Reconciliation orientation meeting typically held in October, with the First Reconciliation Service in December, and the First Eucharist orientation meeting is held in January, with the First Eucharist Masses being held the weekend after Easter.
If you have any questions, please contact Tanya Watterud, Faith Formation Coordinator, via her her parish email address, or call the parish office at 701-839-6834. Thank you.
