Confirmation Preparation and Service Opportunities

At Our Lady of Grace, students in grade 9 and higher may prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation.  To register for the 2024-2025 preparation program, please complete this online registration form or pick up a form off the bulletin board in the classroom hallway.  All students (public school, home school and Bishop Ryan Catholic School) must register and fulfill the program requirements to be confirmed at Our Lady of Grace.

The preparation program begins with an orientation meeting for students and parents.  The meeting is offered at two different times, either Wed., Oct. 2, at 7:00 p.m. or Sun., Oct. 6, at 6:30 p.m.  Classes and activities take place in October 2024 through April 2025, and resume in September 2025, with the Confirmation Mass scheduled for Sun., Sept. 28, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.  Classes are held on Sunday evenings about once per month (excluding May-August).  Click this for the class calendar.

In addition to attending class, students are required to perform acts of service in two categories:  Ministries during Mass and Service during Parish Activities.  As service opportunities become available, they will be posted on this page, and you may volunteer for service by contacting Tanya Watterud, our Faith Formation Coordinator.

Sun., Nov. 17: Noon to 6:00 p.m. Emmaus Youth Retreat at Bishop Ryan Catholic School. We highly encourage all students who are preparing for their Confirmation to attend. $25 per student. Opportunities to Volunteer:  Opportunities are constantly being added, so please check this page frequently.
To volunteer to fill an open spot, please contact Tanya in the Faith Formation office by email or by parish phone (701-839-6834), through her cell phone which you may have in your contacts, or through our Flocknote texting system.  To report your service hours, complete an orange Service Hours slip (they are in your class binder, and are hanging on the wall in the classroom hallway.)  Complete the orange slip and slide it under Tanya's office door (St. Gabriel classroom), or turn it in at our next class.  Please do not keep them very long, because we want to record service as it is completed so that you don't forget what service you have done.
