Confirmation Preparation and Service Opportunities

At Our Lady of Grace, students in grade 9 and higher may prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation.  Classes are held Sunday evenings about once per month from October through April, with one remaining class in September.  The 2025 Confirmation Mass is scheduled for Sun., Sept. 28, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.  Here's the 2024-2025 class calendar so current students can see what will be happening in September as we near the date of Confirmation.

If you will be in grade 9 this fall, you may begin your preparation for Confirmation starting in October. with the orientation meeting for students and parents scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Suinday, Oct. 4, in the parish dining room.  Once the full 2025-2026 Confirmation class calendar has been determined, we will post it on this page.   

In addition to attending Confirmation class, students are required to perform acts of service in two categories:  Ministries during Mass (7 Masses) and Service during Parish Activities (7 hours).  As service opportunities become available, they are posted on this page, and students may volunteer for service by contacting Tanya Watterud, our Faith Formation Coordinator.

Opportunities to Volunteer:  Opportunities are frequently added, so please check this page frequently.
To volunteer to fill an open spot, please contact Tanya in the Faith Formation office by email or by parish phone (701-839-6834), or through her cell phone which you may have in your contacts, or through our Flocknote texting system.  To report your service hours, complete an orange Service Hours slip (they are in your class binder, and are hanging on the wall in the classroom hallway.)  Complete the orange slip and slide it under Tanya's office door (St. Gabriel classroom), or turn it in at our next class.  Please do not keep them very long, because we want to record service as it is completed so that you don't forget what service you have done.

NOTE:  A Gift Bearer family is needed for every Sunday, 5:30 p.m., Mass; so please contact Tanya or call the parish office, 701-839-6834, to volunteer for the Sundays you are able to do it.  Thank you.

Mon., Aug. 4 through Thu., Aug. 7, 5:45-7:45pm each evening (Assist with children during Vacation Bible School)
You may help all 4 evenings or any of the evenings. Volunteer positions fill quickly so volunteer early.  This qualifies as Parish Service, with 1 Mass Service if you assist on Tuesday evening.

Nola Burgett (Aug. 4 & 5 - receives 1 Mass for 8/5 & 2 Parish Service each night = 4 total),
